the burros have arrived!

The burros have arrived! These burros will be in training with Kim Zamudio for the new HSUS Platero Project at The Great Escape Mustang Sanctuary. We took in 2 Jennies and a baby from Canon City yesterday, one is 9 years old, the other 6 with a 4 month jack colt at her side. The gals both came from Montezuma Peak in Nevada, gathered in 2010 and we  think actually are mother and daughter. The Platero Project requires that older animals are trained and adopted. How cool to think we’ve got 3 generations in one load 🙂 Stay tuned for exciting offerings in the works for next summer, did someone say pack burro racing?
