10:00 am
Little Hawk Ranch
This is a very unique opportunity for 3 participants and all auditors to experience mustang gentling first hand. Jessica Dabkowski has years of experience gentling and working with mustangs and will share her techniques with you. We will have 3 untouched horses for this workshop, all from Devils Garden, CA, also all will be available for adoption! This day will include demos by Jess and hands-on work by the participants with all 3 of the horses. Each mustang is very unique and the approach you will need to take with them can vary considerably, this workshop will give everyone different tools that they can use and take home with them…so bring your notebooks!
morning session (10am-12:30pm) + afternoon session (1:00-3:30pm)
Participants (limited to 3): $200
Auditors: $25/person
Reminders: It’s supposed to be hot and we’ll be outside in an uncovered arena…so, please plan accordingly with clothing, etc…we suggest a sun hat, sun block, water bottle (we will have a cooler with water and gatorade as well), snack/food for yourselves. We have a barn for all to go into to cool down, take a break and/or eat lunch and have metal foldable chairs for you to use, however, if you have a favorite camping chair, feel free to bring those!
Meet Lark (on the left, 3yo mare), Sparrow (in the middle, 2yo mare) and Robin (on the right, 2yo mare) all USFS mustangs from Devils Garden, California!
