Hudson is the man

Hudson is a Sand Wash Basin Mustang, gathered in 2008 from the range and brought to the Canon City holding facility when he was approximately 3 years old. In 2010, he went into the training program at the Wyoming Honor Farm in Riverton, where he was adopted by Patricia Lufkin of 5N Ranch. Patricia has a vision for the Mustangs to show their outstanding versatility and ability to the ranching community. Becky & Travis Englert then put Hudson to work on their cattle ranch just outside of Laramie, Wyoming. Needing a trained Mustang for our ranch duties at the sanctuary, we thought it would be a great fit to have Hudson come and join our family. So, in July of 2013, he became part of the herd here at GEMS, where he will be utilized as an ambassador showing the great potential, versatility and abilities Mustangs are so capable of. A huge thank you to all that brought him along this path, he is a level headed, calm boy that has stolen our hearts!
