Clinic 1: “Off to a Great Start” (June 16-18): In this clinic, we will learn the language of the horse and explore the intricacies of how to imitate natural herd behavior to develop a partnership with a wild Mustang. This clinic will explore topics including but not limited to:
Equine body language and how to read the subtleties
Assessing the needs of the horse on an individual basis
How to earn trust and bring out curiosity through the gentling process
Force-free methods of haltering a Mustang for the first time
Understanding different tools and how to use them properly
