our Canon City visit yesterday was terrific!

We made the trip out to Canon City yesterday to visit with our mare in training and sign the paperwork on 2 new adoptions….the burro boys! Our Sand Wash Basin mare is doing amazing. She is really present and willing to work, her trainer has even started working with her carrying a flag. She’s coming along nicely and should be ready to come home in 2-4 weeks.

We are also really excited to bring home the burro boys to join our resident burro, “Ito”. The little one is 7 months old and the larger one is just turning 1. They are ridiculously adorable and super friendly. The 3 of them will have their own burro pasture to enjoy, a place where they can patrol the perimeters together.
