Sand Wash Basin, CO HMA

Demi was part of the herd gathered in 2016 from the Sand Wash Basin HMA. Back in 2010, a group of Sand Wash photographers noticed that a new horse was on the range. Demi the Domestic, as she began being referred to, was thought to have been a once domestic horse turned out when the hay prices of 2010 skyrocketed. She had a foal on the range and survived the wild well. She came into the trap site during the 2016 gather and it was decided to remove her from the range. She made her way to us at GEMS and will live her life here with us. She has fallen right back into domestic life with ease and we enjoy her company amongst our Ambassador herd.
