Ed came to us as an owner relinquishment from Michigan with vision impairments and we decided the best route for him and his training would be with the gals from Hatha Equus at Wildsong Ranch. Giorgia Ghizzoni, Elizabeth Riecks, as well as some of their students have been working with this guy each day progressing his knowledge and calming his fears in our human world. They are doing so working with liberty, free choice, verbal cues, start and stop button behaviors, target training and R+ techniques and he is gaining ground leaps and bounds.
Each horse that comes into our care has different training needs and we are so excited to have a wonderful network of Trainer and Foster Partners to be able to meet the needs of each horse!

Ed is ready to start looking for his forever home! He will do best in a home that is able to continue his positive reinforcement training, someone with the patience to show him the ways of domestic life. We are looking for an adopter who wants to establish trust, 2-way communication and work with him at his pace. Because his training has been catered and specialized for his vision impairments, his adopter will need to complete 2 training sessions with the ladies at Hatha Equus for consistency and continuity.
