You may recognize this addition to the GEMS BRANDED Equine Network…it’s Farrah! The last of the Kansas 3 that were saved from a killpen in November 2020, in a collaborative effort with Skydog Sanctuary. She’s a 6yo very smart, curious mare who has been in full time training with one of our Trainer Partners CSF Horsemanship.
Farrah is not for the beginner horseman, she will need to find someone who is confident, skilled, compassionate and patient. She needs to trust her person before progress can be made. She’s a tough cookie and after 4 months of consistent training, she is now able to be reliably haltered, led, picking up feet and trailer loading. She is a powerhouse and will make a fantastic horse for someone willing to put in the time and the work. Her adopter cannot have a hard agenda for her, they need to be working towards a goal with that timeline and that goal being flexible along the way. She clearly has had alot of trauma in her past life and it still comes out on occasion. People have let her down in the past and it’s now our job to find her a home where that will never be the case ever again.
