Malibu was drawn for a training challenge a few years back and although never made it to the competition, her training proved best with the slow, steady, consistent, confident approach. She is in training with our Trainer Partner Konnie Fries and is ready to find her new home! Malibu will need a skilled Adopter who can provide a continued educational environment for her, as this is where she thrives. She isn’t easy to trust, but once she does, she tries so very hard for her person.
Malibu is a long term commitment for someone, not a train a flip kind of project horse. She is a sensitive, but willing and will require an experienced adopter. Malibu is athletic and a quick learner, she leads, ties, stands for the farrier, side passes to the mounting block and has begun accepting the saddle pad. While she is sensible and has never shown any tendency to be aggressive, she is very sensitive and has the potential to spook and bolt. Nevertheless, she’s incredibly smart and has the ability to be an extremely precise partner in training.
