Midas is being offered as an un-mounted parter due to physical limitations. He has had over 2 years of professional training, including hundreds of hours under saddle. This past year he was diagnosed with Osteochondritis Dissecans, otherwise known as OCD, and can no longer continue his life as a saddle horse. His case is mild and because it was detected so early on and he is no longer at risk for further damage, there won’t be any progression and/or future treatments, therapies or maintenance requirements.
He has impeccable ground manners, an absolute gentleman, easy to catch in a pasture, easy to get along with and is fully certified to tie, groom, load in a trailer, stand for the farrier, etc. He has had bodywork and regular dental and is very sweet and snuggly. His primary genetic contributor is Holsteiner and is named for his metallic gold summer coat. He is unflappable, is not reactive and takes everything in stride.
