Join our very own Head Trainer, Stephanie Linsley, in this information packed clinic! Take your natural horsemanship to the next level!
Learn the language of leadership with horses in this full day, hands-on clinic as we explore the intricacies of natural herd behavior equine psychology. We will learn how to emulate the qualities of a good leader and partner from the horse’s perspective and improve our ability to influence our horse’s mind and body.
This clinic will practice topics including but not limited to:
-Equine body language and how to read the subtleties
-Developing a partnership through beginning groundwork
-Unleashing your horse’s play drive and minimizing fear
-Understanding your horse’s thresholds and how to respond to them.
This clinic is open to humans and horses of any level, any breed, and any age! We have safe Mustangs available for participants who would like to delve into the world of horsemanship without owning a horse of their own.

Stay an additional day for highly individualized education. Sunday will be YOUR DAY to ask questions, get help with specific issues you may be having, and learn how to solve common problems.

Mark & Miranda Lyon Ranch Work Clinic
October 7th & 8th, 2017
Join Mark & Miranda Lyon for this 2-day clinic. Saturday will be focused on Ranch Riding and Sunday we’ll bring in the cows to practice sorting, cutting and roping. Cabins and overnight accommodations are available for an additional fee.
Mark & Miranda Lyon Mark and Miranda of M & M Horsemanship, are international horse trainers, clinicians and entertainers. They travel throughout the year training and giving clinics, but base in Whitesboro Texas for some durations in the winter months at Rafter CJH Ranch training outside horses, coaching, and giving lessons. Mark and Miranda specialize in common sense Natural Horsemanship using California Hackamore Reinsman methods. Vaquero Buckaroo traditions help you and your horse communicate together and get back to pure horsemanship with simplicity and without gadgets. Check out more about them!
Come spend an afternoon with the Mustangs at GEMS! We’ll introduce you to the beauties in our training and adoption program, get up close and personal with our Ambassador Burros and Mustangs, then we’ll venture out to our sanctuary pasture to find our wild herds. Enjoy either a shortened facility tour, or an extended driving or a private group hiking tour, exploring our sanctuary herds, complete with stories about our animals and discussions about the challenges that face these magnificent beings both on and off range and how our model of support is working! It is sure to be a unique experience for all with memories that will last a lifetime.
