Welcome Ana to the GEMS team!

We are so excited to have Ana on board with us! Ana is our new Development Associate and will be helping GEMS in the much needed area of fundraising and non-profit development!

Ana grew up in the mountains of Colombia and feels quite at home in the Colorado Rockies. After many years of working as an attorney, she transitioned to working in non-profit and development. She finds energy and happiness in doing work that is purposeful and being able to fulfill her lifelong dream of helping animals.

Ana holds a J.D. degree from Javeriana University in Bogota and an LL.M degree in Environmental Law from Tulane University in New Orleans.  When she is not discussing the importance of helping wild horses and burros with potential donors, friends, or some innocent by-stander, Ana can be found doing sun salutations near the mountains and spending time outdoors with her husband John and dog Simon.
