ASHLEY AND HER HORSES ARE SPONSORING OUR SANCTUARY HERD MUSTANG, NAIOMI, WITH HER 2024 SANCTUARY SPACE
Hi, I am Ashley Arnoldt, I am 22 years old, born and raised in Langley, BC. I grew up on my family’s farm, my parents bred and raised warmbloods, as well as stood breeding stallions. I always loved horses and loved to play with my ponies, but did not get serious about riding till my early teens. I was also lucky enough to always have a wide variety of pets starting at a young age, which suited me as well and helped shape me as the animal lover I am today. My passion for animals has also led me to own and operate my own Nigerian Dwarf Goat breeding farm on our family farm, Dandelion Lane, named after my 1st pony, Dandy.
Growing up and helping on my parents farm has giving me a strong work ethic and also desire to really know my horses and how to care for them. I take a hands on approach and enjoy all aspects related to my horses, I look after my own horses on a daily basis, do all my own grooming (save for a few occasions when help is needed), and look after making sure they get whatever is needed to live a very good life, in and out of the show ring. I enjoy knowing my horses, having a strong bond with them and knowing their individual personalities, I really feel that is what gives me the opportunity to really be team mates in and out of the ring.
In 2018 my dad passed away suddenly with was very much a life altering event, in many ways it cemented my desire to stay on course as a rider and develop my career. I also stepped in and helped my mom to run the breeding business and Dreamscape Farm, it has taught me a lot about who I am and what I want to be, as well as being very thankful for what I am able to do. Moving forward I am looking forward to going professional in the near future, and running my own training business.
With riding I have been lucky enough to enjoy success in my junior years which has now carried forward to my first few years as an amateur, here are some of my 2023 accomplishments in hunter, jumper and equitation ring, as well as some special awards I have won.
