MISSION

To provide HOLISTIC and PRACTICAL solutions, education and awareness for mustangs navigATING OUR DOMESTIC WORLD.

We promote and preserve the mustang as a REVERED ICON and encourage the value of the WILD equine-human relationship.

MODEL

Through a Collaborative approach, we provide solutions for previously wild equines in need by offering EDUCATION, community outreach, rescue and rehabilitation, fosterING, training, adoption support and sanctuary.

Join us for an evening dedicated to supporting the Mustangs, featuring keynote speaker Jordanna Anawalt, who will share her insights on the wisdom of Wild Horses. We'll premiere a short documentary showcasing the vital work for the mustangs! Additionally, our Artist Partner, Meghan Guilfoil, will unveil her original artworks and paintings of the Great Escape Mustang Sanctuary Herd.

Walk in Balance: The Wisdom of Wild Horses

Step into a remembering of Nature’s greatest teaching – wholeness – alongside humankind’s original guide – the Horse. Grounded by the heartbeat of the land and guided by the 7-Directions, this immersive experience is a choice to embody the wild horse wisdom of pure potential as you come home to your true essence as energy, as Nature. 

Gathered with members of the Great Escape Mustangs herd, you will explore how to (re)engage your primal knowledge system in the modern world, (re)connect with your instinctive energy, and (re)imagine a heart-forward human experience. This one-of-a-kind immersion is inspired in the moment by the spirit of the land, the horses, and the human Tribe who gather.

Mustangs in a BLM Holding Facility

There are over 50,000 wild horses in holding facilities managed by the Bureau of Land Management across the Western United States. These horses are awaiting adoptions, hoping to be paired with the right person able to handle their training, domestication and off-range needs.

Mustangs are built to thrive in the wild, and when they are introduced into our human world they can easily fall through the cracks and in many situations the horses and their adopters find themselves in trouble and in need of support. Some of the horses can even find themselves neglected, abused, abandoned, starved, passed around to different homes, or even sent to auction or slaughter. We believe these magnificent animals deserve better and that by working together we can make a positive difference in their lives.

THE PROBLEM

Our organization addresses the essential demand for rehabilitating, training, and rehoming formerly wild Mustangs. Our dynamic network unites Trainer Partners and Sanctuary alongside dedicated volunteers, forming a robust and varied community of support for Mustangs in need. The invaluable work we undertake is intrinsically tied to the support we receive from the public – without it, our mission would be impossible to fulfill.

    We are using technology to our benefit! We offer 1:1 Training Support with a Great Escape Trainer Partner that is guiding you and your Mustang through the challenge you are facing together!

    You will have weekly coaching with a Mustang Trainer to empower you with the skillset needed to help you reach that next level with your formerly wild horse!
